Two new Biopharma buildings at a campus in County Dublin have just achieved LEED NC v3 Silver certification. One is a Large Scale Cell Culture building (21,570sqm) and the other is a Lab / Office Complex with a canteen (16,345sqm) There were unique challenges due to project location and specialty process loads. These were overcome through a collaborative effort by a multi-office/multi-disciplinary/multi-firm team in California, Texas, Georgia, New Jersey and Dublin. Meehan Green were retained by Jacobs (the design & construction management team) to provide LEED support during the construction stage of the project. We coordinated LEED compliance and documentation from 40 different subcontractors onsite. We were also able to identify additional LEED points for the project, without which a Silver rating would not have been possible. Thanks to everyone in the Biopharma team, Jacobs and IES who persisted in reaching this goal.
