Horgan's Quay, Cork - LEED BD+C

Horgan’s Quay, located along the banks of the River Lee, in Cork is set to be one of the most significant mixed-use developments in the city. The site, around 6 acres in size, once used as railway lands, is now being redeveloped as a central waterfront hub comprised of commercial, residential and hospitality districts. Meehan Green will be the sustainability consultants working with the design team to achieve a LEED Core & Shell Gold certification for the refurbishment of the office blocks. Situated in a central location, close to transport routes and other local amenities as well as an inherently sustainable design with energy and water efficiency features such as a rainwater harvesting tank, the project will be a benchmark of sustainability in a city that is quickly becoming an important business hub in Ireland.
