The Team already provide extensive support and guidance in all aspects of LEED. We have a special relationship with the USGBC at the highest level and have achieved success where extreme challenges were faced on construction projects. We are ready to support your next project and guide it successfully through the LEED process.

Formed from Meehan Associates who have been an member of the US Green Building Council since 2009, and Nellie Reid who has served as a Sole Trader in Ireland since 2012,

The Team have been associated with Projects which have achieved all levels of accreditation certification to PLATINUM level. They have achieved the world’s first PLATINUM rating for a commercial brewery, a complex industrial project. They are working on projects at all levels both in Ireland and throughout the world.

Martin Meehan
Chairman

Martin J Meehan is an Architect, Architectural Technologist, and LEED AP with more than 35 years’ experience in the field of Architecture and 9 years’ experience in LEED.

In Meehan Associates he has built a reputation for LEED support and education and believes that the time has come for a dedicated Sustainability Consultancy to support Clients, Designers and Constructors alike.

Martin is an Irish Representative of Practitioners on the LEED International Roundtable.

Nellie Reid
Managing Director

Nellie Reid is a LEED Fellow.

She has been an active LEED AP since 2001 and was in the inaugural class of LEED Fellows in 2011. She previously held the position of Director of Sustainable Design at Gensler where she consulted on more than 100 LEED projects and trained more than 1,000 LEED APs worldwide.

She has served as a Board Member of the Living Building Institute – Ireland, and the Tipperary Green Business Network.

Nellie represents the Irish GBC as their Delegate on the LEED International Roundtable. 

Nellie is Managing Director of Meehan Green.

 

Pablo Jimeno
Director

Pablo Jimeno is a LEED AP and Arquitecto Tecnico (Technical Architect), with specialty in Building Energy Efficiency. Pablo is also a Certified Energy Auditor. He was involved with the Energy, Environment and Technology Research Centre (CIEMAT) in Spain, before working in commercial BER modelling and assessment, as well as monitoring and maintenance of photovoltaic installations. After some years’ experience in the field of sustainability and renewables, Pablo based himself in Ireland where he has been working as a LEED AP, supporting teams to achieve certification on several commercial, residential and pharmaceutical developments.

Cathal Heneghan
Director

Cathal Heneghan has a degree in Construction Management and an MSc in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building.

He is a LEED AP with more than 9 years’ experience in LEED support both in the US, Spain and in Ireland. Cathal originally began his built environment career as a site engineer and worked on major Dublin projects until 2007 before transitioning into energy efficiency and sustainability.

He has been an active LEED AP since 2009 on a broad range of projects including education, commercial, theatre and health care in San Francisco until 2012. He is now at the forefront of integrating LEED into the Irish built environment. He has also been involved in residential projects both in Ireland and the UK with BER’s and the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Muge Karasahin
Senior LEED Consultant

Muge has international experience of carrying large scale projects through the LEED rating system. Working in countries such as Russia, Turkey & Ireland she has obtained in depth knowledge of sustainable design in the current construction industry.

With Muge’s passion for healthy building environments she became the first WELL AP in Turkey. For Muge the responsible way of design is sustainable and human orientated – also concerning the present without compromising the future. Working in the Architectural industry she believes our buildings have the ability of shaping the behaviours of their occupants.
