Irish Green Building Council LEED Dublin Tour 2023

Yesterday, my colleagues from Meehan Green and I took part in the #LEEDDublinTour. We visited a number of LEED Platinum and LEED Gold certified buildings. This was a very interesting tour for us specifically - Meehan Green worked on 4 of the 5 buildings as the LEED sustainability consultants, ultimately assisting the projects in achieving their respective LEED certifications and sustainability goals.

One Wilton Park (the current home of LinkedIn in Dublin) was the first stop on our walk - a beautiful building which received LEED Platinum (and which has 900 laminated fins on its facade which help control heating and cooling) and PV panels for the on-site creation of renewable energy.

Our second stop was 70 St. Stephen's Green - another LEED Platinum building by Irish Life. This building achieved 26% in energy savings!

Third stop - One Central Plaza on Dame Street, which is LEED Gold certified across it's cluster of 5 upgraded buildings. This project was extremely innovative in terms of materials and building reuse!

The Dublin One hotel is one of the first LEED Gold certified hotels in Dublin - a boutique hotel which minimised it's environmental impact through sustainable building design and construction.

A big thank you to Irish Green Building Council for putting this tour together. GBCI Europe#DISCOVERLEED#wgbw23#dublin#greenbuilding @IrishGBC
